As one of the most heavily inked of the One Direction mob – Harry Styles has admitted in a recent interview that he already regrets several of his tattoos, including one that close pal Ed Sheeran inked onto him.
Harry opened up to We Love Pop about the etching of a padlock in particular that Ed designed for him (with some people commenting that it looks more like a mini handbag) – admitting he felt it looked like “crap”.
“I regret this one on my wrist here. I regret this. I mean, these are just crap,” he said.
Going on to add that getting his pals to perform ink jobs on him was a mistake, Harry added: “There are some that my friends have done and some that are just awful.”
Harry collected a pretty extensive tattoo collection since finding fame with One Direction in 2010, including large pieces like the butterfly on his torso, two birds on his chest and a ship on his arm.
Just last month the 1D star debuted a fresh inking on his right foot reading “Never Gonna Dance Again”.
Celebrity tattoo artist to the stars Kevin Paul slammed Harry’s choice of random tats earlier this year, advising the pop star to clean them up by investing in a sleeve.
He told EntertainmentWise, “Harry should get rid of them all and maybe get himself a sleeve which would look more elegant.”
However, despite his regrets it was recently claimed that Harry is planning a new tattoo of epic proportions on his back, in a bid to even out the artwork on his front, which he feels has become “too front-heavy”.
“He’s getting worried they’re all too front-heavy so it’s definitely his back we’ll be concentrating on,” the singer’s LA-based tattoo artist Freddy told the Daily Star, adding: “The whole thing could take months.”
