It's back to basics for pop diva Christina Aguilera. The slimmed-down star stepped out in style on the Nov. 28 episode of The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, escorted in through the all-military audience by a man in uniform before strutting on stage to greet Leno.
The Tonight Show was celebrating Thanksgiving with an all-military audience, and Xtina happily participated in the theme, wearing a sailor's cap, gold star medal, and skipping her pants.
"What a trooper she didn't even have time to get dressed! She rushed right over here," Leno, 63, joked. "You look fantastic."
The Voice coach beamed, flaunting her toned stems in the flirty one-piece and thanking the uniformed crowd for their services to the U.S.
"My father was a sergeant in the army," she revealed to the delight of the crowd. "So I know what it's like to grow up on a military base, and be a part of the family. I have a lot of respect for you guys and what you do and you women."
Aguilera, 32, gave fans a throwback performance of her 2007 big-band-inflected hit "Candyman." The singer bopped around stage, showing off her signature vocals and new trim physique.
But conversation was more focused on Aguilera's role on The Voice and her family life than her recent slim down. The renowned vocalist gushed about her son Max, who turns 6 next month.
"He's such a character. He outsmarts me," she revealed. And when Leno suggested she keep him in line by threatening Santa would take away his presents in he didn't behave, she replied, "If I threaten that, he'll be like, 'OK, then another little boy will get that toy.'"
