BREAKING NEWS!!!: The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP Begins Indefinite Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, has started an indefinite strike, beginning from Friday, October 4.
ASUP is making a request for the evacuation of the dichotomy between HND/University graduates in arrangement and vocation movement; constitution of a viable and practical representing gathering for polytechnics; a white paper on appearance boards to polytechnics and a highly required appraisal of polytechnics.
The strike is relied upon to initiate completely in polytechnics crosswise over Nigeria from one week from now Monday.
The polytechnic lecturer had prior in the year left on a strike, for the same explanations. The strike endured just about three months and was suspended on July 16 after the mediation of elected legislators. The teachers say the legislature has not attempted solid deliberations from that point forward to address their requests.
A comparable across the country strike by school instructors is in its fourth month as the teachers, ASUU, request a full execution of the 2009 assention they had with the central government.
