POETRY: FEAR

Fear is for the winter.
Fear is the blade that slits the sinner when the snows fall a hundred feat deep.
Fear grips the white witch who remembered she forgot her mop stick.
Fear is for the long night.
Fear is painted black with a brush of strong white.
Fear is when the sun hides for years.
Fear is when the beast scrambles away from his lair.
Oh my sweet summer child!

What do u perceive as fear? When children are simply born only to die.
When the pain is no more felt because it is now too much to bear.
Thousands of years ago came a night that lasted for generations.
Kings died and decayed in the castles.
Bishops froze to death in their cathedrals.
Shepherds woke up in coffins in their huts.
Is this the fear you do not fear?
Where the heart only beats because it does not have a heart.
Where the dire wolfs hunt on filled stomachs only to lay dead on empty bellies.
Have you chosen your remedy?
Have you forged your metal?
Have you forked your path?
Are you a soul abundant of mettle?
Have you given fear a chance?
