UN Declares Nelson Mandela International Day

Too many questions had been asked and many hopes raised but today, The Father of Nations, Nelson ‘Madiba’ Mandela has been honored with an international day by the United Nations Organization.
July 18 would be commemorated as the Nelson Mandela International Day! A day to celebrate one of the world’s greatest leaders and his tremendous commitment to Social justice and reconciliation , public service and  inspiring millions around the world.
The UN confirmed this as they joined his family, his foundation and South Africans to mark the legend’s 95th birthday. Moreover, they have also joined forces with a  call by the Nelson Mandela Foundation to “Take Action, Inspire Change” Campaign, volunteering  67 minutes to charity to match what they say are the 67 years that Mandela served his community.” Sounds like a good idea.
Note that it’s not just for South Africans or Africans alone but the entire world would honor that day to celebrate the life and times of Madiba.
We just wonder how this special day would make The Great Nelson Mandela feel…
