Liga - Spanish transfer news: Man City 'agree Negredo fee'

Sevilla have reportedly accepted a €28m bid from Manchester City to sign Alvaro Negredo.

Despite President Jose Maria del Nido’s assertion yesterday afternoon that Atletico Madrid were closer to matching the Andalucians’ valuation of the 27-year-old than City, it is believed that the Premier League side are on the verge of completing a deal.
Estadio Deportivo report that an initial €25m fee has been agreed for Manuel Pellegrini’s side to pick up Negredo this summer, with a further €3m then due in variables.
With the player already seen as having an agreement in principle with City, reports are that a deal could be concluded and announced during the course of Tuesday.
Any move to Eastlands for Negredo would see the striker followJesus Navas from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, after his move between the clubs earlier this summer for a fee of between €23m and €28m.
Aitor Karanka’s term with Real Madrid is believed to have come to an end, after apparently agreeing to leave the club by mutual consent.
The assistant Coach during Jose Mourinho’s three years at the club has faced uncertainty over his future this summer amid the Portuguese’s departure.
Reports suggest, though, that Madrid are not in his immediate plans, with it believed that he has now left the club by mutual consent.
It is understood that the 39-year-old met yesterday with general manager Jose Angel Sanchez and that the duo both concluded that terminating his contract this summer was the best solution.
Karanka, who has been linked with moving into a head Coach position himself for next season, did have three years remaining on his Madrid contract.
Thiago Silva has played down reports that he will ask to leave Paris Saint-Germain, insisting that his future remains in the French capital.
The Brazilian international was speculated this week as preparing to interrupt his vacation to ask new PSG Coach Laurent Blanc and President Nasser Al-Khelaifi to allow him to leave and join Barcelonathis transfer window.
However, following on from his agent, the player has made clear that his future destination is his current one.
“I saw the news that has been published about my trip from Brazil to ask the President and my new Coach to let me leave and it is not true,” stated Silva to Globoesporte this week.
“It is something that will not happen because I have an existing contract with PSG and I will comply. In Paris I am happy.”
Nelson Valdez has left Valencia’s training camp in Germany and is expected to complete a transfer out to Abu Dhabi in the coming days.
The Paraguayan striker only saw his loan move to Los Che made permanent in February, but has had it made clear this summer by the club’s new directive to accept one of the offers that have apparently come in.
Whilst included in Miroslav Djukic’s preseason training camp in Germany, the club were still believed last week as pushing for his exit.
Reports on Tuesday are that the striker, on from being informed of a particular offer on the table, has left Valencia’s training base in Speyer and is expected to shortly complete a move out of the Mestalla outfit.
Former Spain Under-21 Coach Luis Milla’s new side Al Jazira are heavily speculated as the team in line to pick up the 29-year-old.
Former Sporting Lisbon skipper Daniel Carrico is set to join Sevilla on loan after just six months with Reading.
The 24-year-old, who can play at centre-half or in midfield, has arrived in Spain and is due to undergo a medical with Primera Division side Sevilla.
Carrico made just three Premier League appearances for relegated Reading after joining the club from Sporting in January, agreeing a contract until the summer of 2015 with the Royals.
Sevilla announced on their website that they the option to buy Carrico following his loan spell and that, if all goes well, the player will be presented to the media on Wednesday alongside new signings Carlos Bacca and Jairo Samperio.
